I am sure most of you have either heard of Pastafarianism or know about it. It all started in 2005 when Kansas State Board of Education directed the schools under it to teach intelligent design as an alternate to Evolution. A Physics graduate called Bobby Anderson then decided to come out with his beliefs in his deity - A Flying Spaghetti Monster (oops, not a monster, that’s religious insensitivity, rather a deity). All he demanded (like any other religion) that his faith (and now a faith of thousands of others ) be respected on par with other religions and be given the same perks and tax benefits like other religions.
I can keep on writing about Pastafarianism but it would be probably redundant with their Wikipedia page. I would however suggest that you go read all about the religion so that we give them the respect they deserve and are not intolerant about their faith. I also demand that as a minority religion we provide reservation for pastafarians in government and educational institutes and have a separate pastafarian civil code for them. Also, I am in favor of the Pastafarian theory of creativity being offered as a alternative to evolution and intelligent design.
"The central belief is that there is an invisible and undetectable Flying Spaghetti Monster, which created the entire universe "after drinking heavily." All evidence for evolution was planted by the Flying Spaghetti Monster, in an effort to test Pastafarians' faith; a form of the Omphalos hypothesis. When scientific measurements, such as radiocarbon dating, are made, the Flying Spaghetti Monster "is there changing the results with His Noodly Appendage. "
Equality to the pastafarians….
PS: Btw, the Pastafarian theory of creativity is called "Unintelligent design" because the Spaghedeity was drunk when it happened.

interesting!
Wow! I went through the wiki page and I have to say, it's quite mesmerizing :) ... what's amazing is that there is not a hint of sarcasm or parody in the words of people who reportedly are following this belief. They seem quite serious about it!
Thanks for enlightening us, as always :)
